ABOUT OUR GUEST
Lauren and Melissa met at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) when their daughters were both in treatment and realized they lived too close to each other- pediatric cancer is really rare. They kept meeting more neighbors whose children also had rare forms of pediatric cancer. They started Parents Against Santa Susana Field Lab after they learned that they all live within miles of one of the most contaminated sites in California- and has never been cleaned up. They are in the documentary “In The Dark Of The Valley,” which goes in depth about the situation at Santa Susana Field Lab and how they have been fighting to get it cleaned up. “In The Dark of The Valley” has been screened at Cinequest Film Festival and Cleveland International Film Festival.
