ABOUT OUR GUEST:

Steph Cabrera is a yoga and movement teacher, a qualified breathwork coach, intuitive wellness guide, and a plant medicine enthusiast. For the past 10 years, she has devoted herself completely to personal growth and exploring every aspect of her physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental wellbeing.

TOPIC:

Breathwork is one of the most underrated tools for getting out of your head and releasing stagnant energy from your body, which is why we recently sat down with Steph to get into what breathwork is (and isn’t) and talk about how to live a more embodied life.

Steph highlights the origins of breathwork and different modalities that can be used to tap into the nervous systems and release emotions. She also shares her advice for getting started and what to expect from the breathwork sessions she offers.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • How Steph’s life has transformed since discovering breathwork

  • Signs that you’re operating from your sympathetic nervous system

  • Energizing and relaxing everyday breathing techniques

  • Why people often have emotional reactions while doing breathwork

  • What embodied living is and how Steph incorporates those practices into her life

  • The simplest way to establish a breathwork routine

END OF THE SHOW:

Corinne and Natalie introduce Hottie of the Week: Gisele Bündchen

DRINK RATING:

True Nopal Prickly Pear Cactus Water  = 2.5 / Gisele

WRAP UP:

To wrap up the episode, we play a new game we’re calling Pop Off. Natalie has a bone to pick with the morally corrupt trend of fitness influencers using continuous glucose monitors (CGM) for weight loss. Meanwhile, Corinne is officially giving up on true crime because it leads her down too many rabbit holes and keeps her up at night.
